Photobooths, both vintage and modern, are a huge trend in weddings right now. DCPG puts our own spin on it by incorporating DSLR’s and flattering studio lighting. This results in sharp, professional grade images. DCPG has a secret blend of software and fast, professional equipment that makes the whole booth experience efficient, fun and very high quality.
DCPG’s Photobooth is constantly staffed by both a photographer/computer technician and at least one another DCPG staffer who acts as both a host and hypeman, guiding your guests through while making the process fun for all. We have several photobooth staff associates, but you’re also just as likely to see one or more of the DCPG partner’s staffing it as well. We LOVE the photobooth because, as wedding photographers, we are used to being ninjas and staying out of people’s way. The opposite experience of constant interaction with guests at the photobooth is refreshing and really, really fun for us.
We mean it! The time it takes from when they set foot in front of the camera to when they are holding their print in-hand takes less than 2 minutes, tops. We’ve got to be one of the fastest operating photobooths out there right now, hands down.
We have recently started to incorporate props too, but not just any dollar-store props, things like handmade felt mustaches, beards, glasses, you name it. We’re still building our arsenal, so you never know what random things we’ll show up with next. We also welcome you providing your own prop box!

We now have TWO photobooths, which boast our exclusive DCPG design. You won’t find another Photobooth that looks like ours. We hide all the electronics inside our custom built cabinetry, which is a gleaming white and will not clash with your wedding decor. The monitor provides guest direction and live previewing, while the actual light source and camera are above and beneath the monitor, respectively. The tech stands near the booth directing traffic and triggering the system wirelessly and the scrapbook host will be waiting w/ your print and further instructions. Because the electronics are mobile (the cabinet is on wheels), we can utilize any space, small or large. The larger space we get, the more people you could fit in a photo!
We have run the booth both inside the main reception area and also outside the cocktail area and each has its own advantages. We like being inside with the main reception because more people see it and participated and we didn’t feel so cut off. However, the cocktail area is also nice because we don’t have to compete w/ the noise and distract from events inside the ballroom. It’s definitely your call here!
Our default background is a black/grey brocade pattern (aka the “Malaya” backdrop). We’ve also used solid black or solid white. If you have a cool fabric/sheet/backdrop you want us to use, we’re all for it!
Your digital files will be downloaded to a USB flash drive or burned to a DVD and mailed to you a few weeks after your wedding. Your photobook will ship directly from the printer in the same amount of time. As a bonus, we also upload web jpegs of the strips on DCPG’s Facebook and our blog for your guests to view and download for free the night of or after your wedding.
This is already included with our corporate rate and for weddings/birthdays it is an additional $25. If you take this option, two weeks or so after your wedding, we will post the original photos on a secure, proofing website. Your guests will be able to view and directly purchase a variety of digital files, print sizes and other products for 60 days. At your wedding, we give your guests the opportunity to leave us their email addresses so we can notify them when prints are available for purchase.
